St John’s Wood Residence

Bold architecture, British craft and interior design come together in Shalini Misra’s north London residence in St. John’s Wood.

The dining area is large to accommodate an extended table and it flows into two seating areas. A vintage chandelier above the dining table is a nod to vintage craft. The marble flooring is custom-designed by Shalini Misra Ltd. The curve of the main staircase is enhanced with an ombre toned runner with tones picked up in the photograph on the wall. The white painted inside of the balustrade contrasts beautifully with the custom walnut-painted exterior of the balustrade. The staircase was treated as a grand architectural element of the house, providing a striking feature as you enter the entrance and as you walk up and down through the levels. A flooring in the lower ground floor seating area shows the flooring detail next to a metal decorative grille custom design by Shalini Misra Ltd.
