We designed the master bedroom for the first London edition of Holiday House. The event showcased the best on the UK’s design industry in two houses located in St John’s Wood, with all proceeds going to support breast cancer research. Named ‘Marooned in Morocco’, the master bedroom recreates the feel of a plush boutique hotel transporting visitors to an exotic getaway in the North African destination.

The design combines deep reds with soft greys and metallic finishes to create a romantic yet contemporary space. A statement hand-glazed Fromental wallpaper inspired by mountain rock formations will cover the entire back wall, elevating the design to a work of art and providing the perfect backdrop for the space. This will be complemented by clever paint effects on the remaining walls using a sophisticated colour palette from Farrow & Ball.

Throughout fabrics will be provided by Italian textile editor, Dedar. Alongside curtains made by Hilary Reed, cushions made by Waffle Design, Dedar’s fabrics will also cover a bespoke Vispring bed, designed by Shalini Misra in collaboration with the fabric company and bed manufacturer. It will take centre stage underneath a show stopping chandelier from CTO Lighting.
